 Abstract:  Ephraim George Squier (1821-1888) was an archeologist and diplomat. the collection consists of pocket diaries, address book, memoranda books, notes, and printed diagrams (some attributed to Squier) of Indian earthworks in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Includes proof copy of an article on "Notices of the Minor of Aboriginal Art," notes on the Inca Empire, and a ms. copy of "A Trip in Salvador," describing a journey from La Union to San Vicente.
